Why The Wild?
Traditional dating apps damaged how we connect. When you match on a normal app, you build a first impression from text messages — stripped of tone, personality and emotion — so by the time you meet, something feels off. A true first impression can only happen in person. That's why we built The Wild.
What is The Wild?
The Wild is less a dating app and more a tool to guide you back to meeting in person, organically. Tell us about yourself and who you're looking for, and we plot your potential matches on a map — anonymously. You use that to decide where to go and raise your chances of meeting someone you'll actually like.
How does it work?
It's Friday night. You open The Wild and go Online. The bar you usually go to has 4 potential matches — but the bar across the street has 24. You head across the street with the confidence of knowing there are two dozen matches there looking for someone like you.
Is it safe?
Yes. Privacy is built into every layer. Set privacy areas (like your home or work) where you're automatically hidden even if you're online. Your location updates only every few minutes — never in real time. You're anonymous by default, and if you start moving (walking or driving) the app automatically pauses your location.
What are match scores?
Every match on your map shows a compatibility percentage based on research into what genuinely predicts a connection — values, intentions, lifestyle and communication style — not just looks. Tap a score to see exactly where you align.
What are Waves?
See someone you like? Send a Wave. When you both wave, a private chat unlocks — a mutual, pressure-free way to break the ice. No cold messages and no crowded inbox.
How does messaging work?
The Wild has no traditional inbox. Chat opens only after a mutual Wave, and members can message matches who are at the same place. You can enable or disable messaging anytime in your settings.
Show or hide your photos
You're anonymous by default. Un-hide your profile photos with a photo credit so matches can recognize you — great when you're in that bar full of matches. You can hide or show your photos anytime; Platinum members get unlimited credits.
What are Feeds?
Feeds are a geo-fence around a business or location that anyone can follow. Only people physically inside the boundary can post to that feed — so you get a real look inside a place before you go.
Why does it need background location?
Background location lets the platform work: while you're Online you see where your matches are, and you appear as a match pin to them. Your location updates every few minutes until you go offline or enter a privacy area.
