## What The Wild Is

The Wild is a fundamentally different dating app. Rather than an endless swipe-and-text loop, it shows users a live map of where their matches are located right now — which bars, coffee shops, gyms and neighborhoods they are at in real time. The goal is to help people meet face to face, organically, the way humans always have.

Core belief: chemistry cannot be transmitted through a text message. Real connection requires physical presence. Technology's job is to get you into the room where connection can happen — not to replace it.

## The Problem It Solves

Modern dating apps have run the same model since 2012: swipe, match, text digitally, maybe meet. Documented problems include:
- Most matches never lead to a date.
- Users spend weeks texting strangers before discovering there's no real-life chemistry.
- Dating-app burnout is at historic highs (a large majority of users report fatigue).

## How The Wild Works

1. Create a profile and describe who you are and who you're looking for — looks, values, intentions and lifestyle.
2. Go Online. You appear on the map as an anonymous pin (photos hidden by default; you control visibility).
3. Read the map. Each match pin shows a compatibility score, and matches cluster by venue in real time.
4. Decide where to go — pick the place with the highest concentration of strong matches.
5. Meet in person. Optionally send a Wave first; when both people wave, a private chat unlocks.

- Match scores on every pin: a compatibility percentage based on research into what predicts a genuine connection (values, intentions, communication style, lifestyle) — not just looks. Tap a score to see where you align.
- Waves: send a Wave to break the ice; a mutual Wave unlocks a private chat. No cold messages.
- Messaging: there is no open inbox. Chat opens after a mutual Wave, and members can message matches at the same location. Messaging can be enabled or disabled anytime.
- Privacy by design: anonymous pins; photos hidden by default; location updated on a delay (never real-time); automatic pause when you start moving (walking/driving); user-defined Privacy Areas (e.g., home or work) where you are hidden automatically.
- Feeds: follow a geo-fenced business or place; only people physically inside can post, so you can see inside a venue before you go.
